calm down!!! my new baby is my new lens!!! i got a new beautiful lense and i took her for a spin this weekend.. here are some photos and can i tell you how much i love her????
my girls are so tired of me in their face.. see how they look away everytime i come near? so sorry.. i am like the paparazzi to them..
makena was on break this week so we did a lot of the park, playdates, rode our bikes..ate great mexican food.. but the farmers market was my favorite :)

cute story- chloe is obsessed with this fairy statue she got at the dollar store last week and then wanted to earn a dollar suddenly for "chores" (she doesn't do much..ahh-hemm) anyway, she wanted to buy one for makena with her dollar.. i just love it when they look after each other. SO much.. they bicker a lot lately and i need to remember that is what sisters do.. but they also share cupcakes and buy each other fairies with their allowance...they cry when the oldest leaves on a playdate {chloe} and they sleep facing each other so they won't be scared..{makena}..

me- "5 minutes.."

chloe- "how long after 5 minutes?"

ooops! i do say it more than once.

me- "let's paint your nails!"

makena- "no thank you, it takes too long to dry"

 chloe- "yes, my toes are a mess"

makena wears sneakers.

makena is smarter than me already.

makena loves science and does all kinds of experiments around the house.

chloe colors really well, stays in the lines and everything!
they both love to swim.
they will stay in the pool for hours doing somersaults underwater and diving off the side..

 chloe eats dinos and anything crunchy or sweet.

makena is a candy girl too but will eat just about anything.
{she tried sushi with me on my birthday..
well, i bribed her a dollar and it was just a california roll}

makena is reading this over my shoulder as i write.. reading out loud..

so makena is a worry wart. she is very concerned about everyone all the time.. she is a rule follower and likes things done a very certain way.

she is little mama.

we had a lizard in our house a few months back and i was pretty dramatic about capturing it 

{okay.. very dramatic}.. 

a lot of squeals, squeaks and yelps.. 

she is now obsessed with closing the screen doors, garage doors and shuffles everyone in the house quite quickly just to be sure another lizard doesn't get in...
she had dreams about this lizard.

still. months later. we talk about him/her.

so the other day we are driving down the street and someone is tenting their house..

makena- "mommy? why is there a tent on that house?"

me- " ohh they have bugs.. so they tent it to get rid of them"

makena-"what are the bugs called, are we going to get them? how doooo you get them?"

me- " they are called termites.. no we will not get them.."

{i can hear the worrying start and i know she will not let this go.. noway}

makena-" well, how dooo you get termites, how?"

me- "goats."

me again-" if you have a pet goat, you will get termites."

makena-" ohh."

me-"siiiggghhh"

lemons and mini muffins..

our lemon tree out back is crazy with lemons right now..

chloe and i picked lemons and made blueberry muffins..
it was a productive day :)

she had the time of her life washing the lemons..

i had the time of my life watching her ..

5ft 8 1/2 inches????

so today at the dr. i was weighed and measured.

i have always been 5 ft 9 3/4 inches.

or. so. i. thought.

today, i measured 5ft. 8 1/2 inches.

the dr. said the nurse probably made a mistake.
i mean that is a BIG difference..
am i shrinking ALREADY??
but the thing is...

what i am thinking is..
if i am really only 5 ft 8 1/2..

it is time to start wearing some big heels and a bit more often..
you see, i have this thing about being taller than my husband..
he is 6' and in heels at 5'10 ish i am taller..
at 5'9 ish.. i am not.

i had a fabulously busy couple of weeks and it took some time away from my everyday.

i am not complaining in the least bit.

it is all so amazing.

i just have to put some things on the back burner at times while trying to juggle this amazing "job"..

you know, something called balancing.

it is a very important thing to learn.

this cutie pie got her first real skateboard from santa..

she actually has pretty good balance and is going up the curb already..

as you might know if you have been tuning in for awhile..

i am not a fan of her wanting to skate..

today while i sat outside sipping my coffee.. watching her go baaaccckk and forth..
she fell.

then fell again.
but.

i was surprisingly calm..

maybe her being DECKED out in every pad imaginable helped..
or maybe my yummy hazelnut coffee was too good to stop sipping?

christmas was so wonderful..

i took a break of it all..

girls were home and damian took long weekends...

we slept in..

we played, we baked, we watched movies..

it was so nice..

i don't have many photos because i really actually took a break!
