Julie and David's Moonlight Beach, Encinitas Wedding..

this was such a simply sweet wedding.. a moonlight beach wedding in the morning with friends, family and such love.. 

i met at julie's house while she got ready and took photos of her as calm as can be.. i played in their backyard with their sweet daughters.. 

how stunning is she and that dress is so gorgeous! 

in honor of her late father, julie tied his dog tags in her bouquet..

we met her soon to be husband for a private first look and some photos before the ceremony.. i love this because it is a sweet moment just the two of you share.. nervous excitement.. giggles and sweet sweet smiles.. it is a special time.. and it is just between the two of you..  

the ceremony was perfect as the beautiful encinitas sun sparkled down on the married couple and the crashing of that turquoise water whispered in the back.. it was amazing..

 david and julie said "we do".. each of their daughters as well as julie and david had a jar of sand they poured together to symbolize their love and coming together as a family..
it was so so so beautiful..

there lunch reception was held at stone brewery in escondido where everyone sipped amazing beer, ate delicious food and mingled..

if that isn't a perfect wedding day.. i don't know what is..

wedding and a road trip.. two of my fav things to do.

i am currently editing this gorgeous wedding.. i had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of photographing this local encinitas wedding friday morning and it was perfect.. it was so beautiful.. SO beautiful.. 

i can't wait to show you all the goodness soon.

in other exciting news..

we leave for our first OFFICIAL family road trip tomorrow.. 

say a pray and wish us luck..

i think we are very prepared..

that was crazy!

 but we have gone again since then and it was pretty successful..

i will have big daddy camera in tow and i am so excited to get some r&r with my little fam..

it is so crazy that we are at this stage in our life..

family camping trips.. board games, campfires, hiking, the girls just play and hubby and i can sit and enjoy it all..

engagement session on a sailboat..yes. a wonderful sailboat.

so this is for real. yes. i shot an engagement session on a beautiful 41 year old wood sailboat that was built in nova scotia. it was amazing to say the least.. we had an amazing captain {captain ron} that was so sweet and he directed the boat to where i asked him too for that yummy light i am obsessed with capturing.. it was one of those moments that i kept asking myself if i was dreaming.. it was so awesome. i really honestly with all my heart can not believe how this photography journey is turning.. all these amazing couples, their love and trusting ME to capture it.. ME. REALLY? 

{sorry. i get emotional..i know. i know i am just so happy and in awe of it all..}

anyway.

this couple is so wonderful, they are from the bay area and they flew down to have this session with me on a very sentimental boat. their story is amazing.. he was the sailboat instructor, she was the student,the captain that sailed us this GORGEOUS evening is a dear friend and was honored as was i, to be a part of this moment..they live in the bay area, they prefer, love and drink good beer, she is vegan and they are both so gorgeous it's almost not tolerable.. they are getting married in sausalito in november and yours truly will be there to document it all.. i am beyond honored and i have to tell you honestly.. i stalked them a wee bit in the beginning...

i had a sneaking feeling she was fabulous and i think..

i guessed right.

school's out for summer..

i officially shut off my alarm.. it is SUMMER!!!!

 makena got a little summer job walking the dogs next door.. chloe is foot loose and fancy free and happy as can be her sister is home with her all day..we spent a fab and relaxing father's day at the beach...i have some pretty amazing weddings coming up.. we have a family road trip to big sur on the horizon{wish us luck}.. things are good.. really. really. good..i am officially a full time juggler and i wouldn't have it any other way..

life.is.good.

{let's talk again in a month and see what i have to say huh? the kids WILL drive me bonkers along the way..we all know that much..}
