this is why i love a private first look.. this kind of moment is what it is about.. just the two of you, seeing each other for the first time.. quietly, it's almost like you freeze time.. a magical time.. it is just about you two.. it is one of my favorite moments to shoot..

i am still here

i have been so neglectful of my poor blog.. i have been editing weddings every chance, moment or second i can.. so blogging is the last thing i do.. i am almost done with this GORGEOUS wedding, the bride is STILL on her honeymoon in Bali so i am waiting patiently for her to return home.. maybe not so patiently.. but. i am almost done and i will share very soon.. have a lovely weekend friends..

I am so honored!! San Diego Exquisite Weddings Magazine featured Kalista and Kyle's engagement session! I was camping in Lake Tahoe when I got the email!!! From my iphone, i emailed the magazine editor, bride and then tweeted! Isn't technology fabulous!!? We had a lovely week and our trip was perfect.. that was a cherry on top! Here is the feature

Jessica and Rob.. and the SWING!

 jessica and rob met me here for their engagement shoot.. it was the on April Fool's Day..

it was gorgeous.. i mean totally perfect san diego weather..

i knew jessica and i were going to hit it off when she told me she was bringing 4 wardrobe changes..

we pulled in and parked next to eachother..  rob got out, said hello and began to get their awesome bike out of the back of their giant truck..

next jessica pops out of the passenger seat with a burst of energy..

hiiiiii!

i immediatly knew this shoot was going to be fun..

jessica and rob have an amazing, FUN, beautiful, wonderful vibe..

they let me boss them around a little bit but mostly, they did the work themselves..

i stood back and snapped them in action..

they were so amazing..

the bike ride at sunset was hilarious..

i mean hilarious..

getting 2 people to look so fabulous on a bike isn't easy but they did it..

and.
they did it perfect..

they were troopers as i had them parading through weeds, foxtails, cactus and swinging on a homemade swing..

{i was pulling tiny tiny cactus hair out of my hands 2 days later}

i was so sad when our session ended and bummed when i was done editing it..

i am cheesy like that..

BUT.

i get to shoot this amazing couple in July..

here is a hint..

in-in-out is catering..

it was a crisp and sunny day.. spring was definitley in the air.. as well as love.. 

yes. 

for sure love was in the air..

allison and carter snuggled, held hands, and just ooozed love.. they were the easiest, mellow and carefree couple to work with.. later to find out allison tells me they were both so nervous.. you would NEVER know it by these photos..

sun-kissed on a row boat

andy and tracey are one of those couples that are so easy going.. you feel like you have known them forever..

we met up at the concession stand at the lake and hurried off to the boats with wide smiles..

andy was a trooper about rowing.. i had him going in circles as i directed where i exactly wanted the light..

{i can get bossy.. sort of..i mean not really.}

i am not the most graceful of girls so the fact i didn't fall in the lake really is a miracle..

tracey looked gorgeous every which way she turned and her stunning blue eyes made my camera blush..

it was the most beautiful day, the water was calm and i felt like we were on a little vacation..

the sun kissed these lovebirds perfectly and i was sad when our session was over..

i will be photographing andy and tracey's wedding in october and..

i can NOT wait..
